Last month I celebrated my 40th year with Hillcroft – yes I know – that was before many of you were even born as I was reminded of way to many times. I would like to thank you for all of the congratulations, and there were many. I would like to thank Jessica for decorating my office door. Most of all, I would like to thank Hillcroft for giving me the opportunity to be part of the growth this agency has seen over the last 40 years.
Approximately 30 years ago a group of us ladies started a Euchre Club and we still get together and play monthly. Of the 12 currently playing Becky Donovan and myself are the only Hillcroft staff still in the club – nine women are past employees of Hillcroft. We have built friendships that have stood the test of time.
I have seen poor to mediocre to great CEO’s run Hillcroft and Debbie Bennett is by far the best. She sets the tone for the integrity, honesty and passion that makes us the absolute best agency of our kind. We have a class A leadership team who puts the best interests of our clients and the programming they receive as high priority. They also do everything in their power to make sure that staff get raises and bonuses whenever possible. Hillcroft provides our clients with a safe haven where they feel loved and secure. I understand this is only my viewpoint but I have had 40 years to come to this conclusion.
I have grown up here. I raised my daughter who was seven when I started working who gave me three grandchildren – who in turn gave me 6 great grandchildren. I have learned that everyone has a purpose and is put into our lives for a reason. I have learned that prayer is powerful. I have become a mother figure to two very amazing young women who I adore.
Hillcroft is my safe haven when my personal life feels like it’s going down the toilet. This is part of my family – this is part of my life. For all of you newbies – give it a chance, it can change your life. For all of my old Hillcroft friends – you know what I mean.
Eventually I am going to retire and that will be a bittersweet time for me. I am so very glad to have met you, to have gotten to know many of you and to have been given the honor of being part of this amazing organization.
Peace out and may God bless you.
