The Hillcroft Self Advocate Officers were able to join other self advocates  & the Arc of Indiana at the State house to deliver Valentines Cards to our representatives . Brianna, Kory,& Jim, along with Creativity Unlimited Instructor Laura Couch, were able to visit FASSA Secretary Dr. Jennifer Walthall & DDRS director Kylee Hope, as well as Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch. They heard stories from the special guest and had a meet and greet. They learned more about the Direct Support Professional budget increase, budget bill-HB1001. They learned how the representatives  listen to different bills & pass motions to approve or disapprove the bill in question. They also had  a surprise short visit with the new governor Eric Holcomb! A brief segment on channel 8 news with the ARC  of Indiana aired Brianna, Kory & Jim. These officers did a great job learning, focusing on what is important, & representing  Hillcroft Services.
