Direct Support Professional

Supporting People where they live and, in the Community. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic people that want to make a difference and get paid to do so. Make a Positive Impact in Someone’s Life! Paid training is provided, no experience necessary. We provide support for individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes as well as in a community and want your help enhancing their daily lives.

Employment Consultant

Hillcroft is looking for an energetic and inventive person to add to our Employment Services team helping people with disabilities find meaningful and sustainable work. This position is responsible for networking with employers and community partners, assessing the skills, interests and needs of each client, developing individualized employment plans, providing job coaching and support.

Music Therapist

This is a very fun and rewarding position providing music therapy services to individuals with disabilities.

Responsible to provide music therapy to clients in a 1:1 or group setting. Must use music therapy process as described in the Board Certification Domains distributed by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). Must also comply with the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)

This position requires a Bachelor degree or higher in Music Therapy.  Must have MT-BC credentials or is eligible to sit for the Music Therapy Board Certification Exam.

Must be able to physically assist clients as needed, and free to travel from site to site as needed.

Recreational Therapist

Function: Provide direct recreational therapy services in a small group or individual setting to enhance client’s daily activities. Recreational therapy services will address the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals.
Qualifications:

  • Responsible to:
    • Provide Recreational therapy to clients in a 1:1 or group setting in accordance with the individual’s ISP.
    • Provide direct recreational therapy services in a small group or individual setting to enhance client’s daily activities. Recreational therapy services will address the physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of individuals.
    • Use the recreational therapy process as described in the Certification Standards distributed by The National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) to provide adequate services.
    • Comply with the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC), American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Code of Ethics, Standards of Practice, Division of Disabilities and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) Waiver Manual, as well as the Hillcroft Employee Handbook.Education, Training and Experience
      • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Recreation Therapy—required
      • Must have CTRS credentials, having completed (or is eligible to sit for) the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) – required.
      • Must maintain CTRS certification in compliance with National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) – required.

Registered Behavior Technician – ABA Therapist

The ABA therapist is responsible for providing intensive behavioral intervention services to children with autism and other developmental disorders.  Each child has an individualized treatment plan and you will provide individual and group therapy sessions based on the goals established.  Documentation is completed via computer program. Must be physically able to manage children, including providing therapy while on the floor, running after children, actively playing with children and dealing with aggressive behaviors. Training will be provided in dealing with aggressive behaviors.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma with ability to acquire RBT certification during 90 day trial period. BS preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or in the provision of ABA therapy preferred but not required

All positions require the ability to pass background checks, which includes BMV, County criminal history, Indiana limited State criminal history, CPS registry, National criminal history, CSOM screening and clearance from the State Nurse Aid Registry and the EPLS & OIG Medicaid Fraud registry.
