  • 2012 Ice Cream for Isanogel Card Sales

    Hillcroft Services is pleased to partner with 13 local ice cream businesses for the 2012 Ice Cream for Isanogel campaign. Ice Cream for Isanogel cards are $5 and provide by one get one free offers at Dairy Dream of Albany, Baskin Robbins of Muncie, Ivanhoe's in Upland, Ritter's Frozen Custard of Muncie, Dairy Queen of Muncie, Jerry's Dairy Freezer of Parker City, Tropical Shaved Ice of New Castle, Muncie Frozen Custard, Incredible Yogurt of Muncie, Grandma Betty's Ice Cream Shoppe of Muncie, Camack Station, The Island of Muncie, and Weenie World of New Castle.

    Ice Cream for Isanogel card proceeds are used to support Hillcroft's Art and Recreation programs.

  • 8th Annual Hilcroft Masters Golf Outing

    The 8th Annual Hillcroft Masters Golf Outing will be held on Friday, May 11th at The Player's Club in Yorktown. The Hillcroft Masters is a great opportunity for local businesses and individuals to have fun and help make a difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities.   • 2012 Disability Awareness Month Celebration

    Each March, Indiana celebrates Disability Awareness Month. Led by the Indiana Governor’s Council for People with Disabilities, the goal of Disability Awareness Month is to increase awareness and promote independence, integration and inclusion of all people with disabilities.

    Hillcroft Services partnered with Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler to lead Disability Awareness Month celebrations in Muncie through a Mayoral Proclamation and art reception. On March 2, Mayor Tyler welcomed the Muncie community to Mutual Bank as he proclaimed March as Disability Awareness Month. The reception also included the presentation and sale of artwork created by individuals with disabilities through Hillcroft Services’ art programs. Spring 2012 Youth and Adult Programs

Youth Programs

KidArt is a parent-child playgroup opportunity for children ages 10 months to 5 years.  KidArt focusses on dance and music lessons facilitated by professional teaching artists in each discipline.  KidArt meets each Tuesday from 6-7pm at Camp Isanogel.  KidArt received generous support for the 2011-2012 year from the Kitselman Fund at The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County. For more information, please contact Sarah Strom at sstrom@hillcroft.org or 765-288-1073.

Caring Arts Program gives elementary age children with emotional disabilities and their siblings necessary creative outlets and opportunities for social interaction in a safe environment.  The Caring Arts Program is operated in partnership with the Ball State University Department of Counseling Psychology.  The Caring Arts Program meets one Saturday a month from 9am-4pm at Camp Isanogel.  The Caring Arts Program receives generous support from the Prevent Child Abuse Council of Delaware County.  For more information, please contact Sarah Strom at sstrom@hillcroft.org or 765-288-1073.

ArtAbility provides children of all abilities the opportunity to participate in ongoing arts activities in their special education classrooms. Teaching Artists offer fine arts classes throughout the school year in participating schools.  The ArtAbility program is operated in partnership with Muncie Community Schools and receives support from The George and Frances Ball Foundation.  For more information, please contact Sarah Strom at sstrom@hillcroft.org or 765-288-1073. 

Adult Programs

OpenArts introduces community members with and without disabilities to a variety of visual arts mediums, provides an outlet for self-expression as well as opportunities for social interaction.  OpenArts meet each Wednesday from 6-7pm at Camp Isanogel.  OpenArts received generous support for the 2011-2012 year from the Kitselman Fund at The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County

The Writers' Circle exposes adults with disabilities to four major creative writing styles, uses writing as a means of selfexpression, and produce original works.  The Writers' Circle meets each Wednesday from 6-7pm at Hillcroft's main office on Streeter Avenue.  The Writers' Circle received generous support for the 2011-2012 year from the Kitselman Fund at The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County

Thursday Recreation provides adults with disabilities opportunities for social networking and skill building in leisure activities. The program offers a wide variety of activities aimed at improving wellness, having fun, and strengthening friendships.  Thursday Recreation meets each Thursday from 6-8pm at Camp Isanogel

ArtsAccess offers chances for individuals with disabilities to enjoy fine arts performances that would otherwise be inaccessible.  ArtsAccess events are listed on the monthly activity calendar.  Ticket reservations may be made by contacting Elizabeth Piazza.  ArtsAccess is generously supported by the Kitselman Fund at the Community Foundation Muncie and Delaware County
