Residential

Group Homes - Hillcroft's three group homes in Muncie, Indiana each provide six residents of similar skill levels a safe home environment. Trained staff provide continuous support.

Hillcroft staff members assist each resident with increasing independence by providing training in personal care, money management, home care, mobility and other daily living skills.

Supported Living - Hillcroft's Supported Living program provides flexible, safe residential options for developmentally disabled children and adults.

Whether the adults in this program choose to live with their families, in apartments, in houses, with roommates, or alone with Hillcroft staff support, their financial, medical, mental health, educational, physical and daily living needs are met.

Training goals are set with each person with assistance from staff, his or her family and friends. Training in skills such as cooking, home care, shopping, money management, community access, and recreation are completed to increase independence . Training and support from Hillcroft staff is provided from 2 hours a week up to 24 hours a day, depending on the needs of each individual.

Nursing and Therapy Services - Licensed nurses, a speech therapist and a behavioral specialist each provide specialized services. Personal assistance and attendant care is available for those persons who are not physically or medically able to take care of themselves.

Hillcroft maintains a sophisticated 24-hour emergency system for people served in the Supported Living program.

Funding for this residential option is provided by the Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services through a Medicaid Waiver or Indiana state funds. Hillcroft will assist families through the application process for these funding sources.
