Adult Daily Living/OBRA
Hillcroft's Adult Daily Living (ADL) and OBRA programs provide support services to help individuals with developmental disabilities lead more productive and independent lives.
Adult Daily Living (ADL) provides education and supports to increase functional life skills outside of the individual's home. ADL provides both group and one-on-one instruction in the community or at the Hillcroft facility. Services are funded by Medicaid Waivers and State Line monies. Private pay can also be arranged.
ADL programming is based upon the specific needs and interests of the individual. Instruction areas include life skill development, driver's education, computer usage, educational developmental, social relationships, community access activities, mobility instruction, recreation and self-advocacy.
A wide range of services are currently offered in Delaware and Henry counties.
For more information on ADL, contact Joycelyn Baer.
OBRA (referencing the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) funds programming that supports individuals who reside in nursing facilities. OBRA provides these residents the opportunity to spend time in their communities and to stay connected with family and friends.
Activities may include shopping trips, eating out, leisure and cultural events, educational activities and volunteer opportunities - anything that provides stimulation and builds basic daily living skills.
Our staff work closely with each person served, his or her family and the nursing facility staff to create individualized activities based upon their needs and interests. All services are one-on-one with direct support professionals spending several hours per week with each person served.
We currently provide OBRA services to nursing facilities in five East Central Indiana counties: Delaware, Madison, Henry, Grant and Blackford.
For more information on OBRA, contact Joycelyn Baer.
