North View Elementary School Students Sponsor Isanogel Camp Scholarship

Published Wednesday, April 27, 2011 9:00 am by Elizabeth Piazza

Muncie Community School's North View Elementary School students worked together during the month of March to help an Isanogel camper attend camp this summer.  The students participated in days where they were able to wear slippers for a donation to a camper scholarship as well as, "Money in a Minute".  The "Money in a Minute" activities offered students the opportunity to donate their spare change towards a camp scholarship.

Jennifer Carmichael, Speech Pathologist for Northside Middle School and North View Elementary organized the fundraising efforts.  Jennifer states that the students were very excited to give back to their community.  The students learned an important lesson about philanthropy while having fun.  In total the students were able to raise $300 that will be used to support a camper attending camp at Isanogel in 2011.
